Ringing in Spring!

It's been a busy Spring - where has March gone? Well, here are a few pics to remember it by. From James' First Soccer Game, visits from the grandparents, enjoying that Austin weather outside with the kids, and a great Easter bash - it's been a great way to ring in the Spring!

Here's our own little "Cupcake Academy." I swear these were the best cupcakes ever and as big as the kiddos heads. Thanks Nani for the great sweets on Easter!

Mary "Ann Potts" cooking away before the Easter/Baptismal Celebration for Avery and Marissa. Move over Rachel Ray! Mary can cook for 50 in 30 minutes!

My hubby John and his business partner Hubert at the Superbowl. They sat next to Kate Hudson. Some guys have all the luck. Their faces are still in disbelief that their wives let them go while we stayed home with the kids :)

Jane of the Jungle Gym and Baby Beckham in the making. James and Mia had too much fun at their first soccer practice. So did we!

Adelita - the baby whisperer.

Ahh...the simple pleasures. Fun with John and kiddos on a beautiful day in Austin. Life doesn't get better than this.

Grandparent Guitar Hero. If only this was videotaped we would be all over You Tube. John and I have not laughed that hard in a while. Nani and Dusty - YOU ROCK!

Spring Break 2008

I've been inspired by a wonderful photographer and all around sweet gal, Michele at Pinkletoes Photography, to start a family blog. Rosa, Francie and I attended her "Cupcake Academy" photography workshop last weekend and had a blast. Michele took our maternity pics and the beautiful shots of Avery that were on her birth announcement. Check out www.pinkletoes.com if you're interested in seeing her cool work and her own cool blog.

Lucky for me I had plenty of opportunities to practice my papparrazzi skills this week on Spring Break with the familia. My family was held captive at a house we rented on Lake LBJ for 2 days :) Here are some of my favorite shots...far from the greatness that is Pinkletoes, but it's fun trying!

My super cool nephew Rickey - the t-shirt rocks. He may look too cool for school but he had a blast picking strawberries at the detour we made to Sweetberry Farms.

These were the vacation "bugs" on the trip - Rickey, Sr. and Jr., mom, dad, Cristina, Jamers and of course me and Avery - behind the lens.

Our resident fisherman ...Juan, also known as Dorf, sitting on the dock at the Lake House.

Unfortunately, this was the only fishy that didn't get away :)

The Padillas chillin' on the porch, with Baby Sofia on Board. That wasn't just too many tortillas!

Adelita - we were so glad you joined us. Such a beautiful and sweet girl. She and Rick had a blast fishing, swimming, kayaking...and harassing farm animals!

James and "Wello-Guy" picking strawberries together. We got boxfuls and had vanilla ice cream and strawberries when we got home. Yum!

My Jamers. Doesn't he look so grown up and handsome? I think I just need to move to a farm or lake house permanently - he LOVED being outside. Here he is with his bucket of Curious George's.

Loved this shot of Avery-kins, my polka dot princess. She's either a drool monster or has those cute chubby fingers in her mouth starting to teeth. Michele - I think I got some catchlight here :)

Still figuring out this blog thing, but hope you enjoy!
Love,M
